Lyrics: Enduring folly Blended culling Narrow falling Callous crawling I'm only holding on to a normal life I'm holding on to the brightest nights of my sombre drive Prosperity, fumble to death Ambitions are enough for me Stay close to my dreams Straying further away from grief Touched by familial hands And burnt by the cynical minds of liars Affiliate, go then to drown in a cataract To see what accolades await Impoverished shone the years you gave Sense poverty, writhe on the crest Indifference cower the best of you Unto a shimmering loss A reverence to behold the sight of a mental rebirth Oh how you'll freeze on the taiga floor To be held by the woods Follow, bleed high Let the tourniquet hang through his flesh Marrow greed fly Poisoned, the wounds in his spine Wallow, knee grind Let him stumble and fall down in a crawl Tail low, full bind In the void of his own he will bawl

Lyrics: There is the tint of yellow to your focus hiding away Do not mistake my reading, I've seen this a thousand times before Dead on one's feet, and still drone on repeat, bygone intermit What a boneless reflection, honed imperfection to shine upon your passage Argentate, charcoalesque is the echo of your burn “She reached higher and higher wince, constrict, shivered daylight She dared not admire the brooding shred of blight” Do not shatter This shame is a frame you can drain You'd stay neck bent Gazing at Death clutching your forehead, blood glued to your doorway, curled to the floor Sweat frozen on collar, drape covered in fire, indefinite hue You won’t know either lies nor will you compromise anymore What a relief, to toss all you believe, to cross any who lives to mourn, there is a price to pay Austere, deep cyan is your silence unreturned Press, distort, reverb shrill, relay Clamp, caned, stop, ring, breath, drill, bore, strain Breach, burn, sidestep, blinds out, sun flare Crane crash, train smoke, churn, burn, burn, burn Higher and higher, tiresome mire Stretched out through a rugged conch shell Chest constraint, eye rend, closed faint heart Mellow grain, holed brain, sore earlobe Screech, turn, phase shift, bone curl, haze rift Crane crash, train smoke, churn, burn, burn, burn Higher and higher, tiresome mire Stretched out through a rugged conch shell Wider and wider, brighter and brighter This caustic compiler dressed me down in solitude Would that my tint of yellow could unharm me, clear of disdain Ill heard from my polychrome, read between lines a hopeful conceit I am dead on my feet, encased in my defeat and surely you’ll see How my tinnitus, cold limitless hours, anchors on my eardrums; casts away my life Abrasive, with an off-white shine Calls the end of my turn

Lyrics: Incinerate, dim degenerate Never saw the higher road above There was no collapse of the terraneous brine The neck didn’t turn in the wake of his pain “My arrival, My departure - Two simple passings That got entangled. Empty-handed I entered. Barefoot I will leave it.” Brought to old age before time A deep grief spun his thread of days A mind and heart home to grimy spiders’ webs Whose mindless arrogance and violence reached to the iron sky Subject to men who would far rather eat themselves Than to give anything to another Greedy are the men who cast their daisies in bronze Words, let flown each to each, Met midways and sliced The void in aimless flight Over the churned-up ground, He would never be nothing as much as this Endless times, time, time and again, He worked to nullify their hatred in his heart And thus he felt the heat of infinity “My arrival, My departure - Two simple passings That got entangled. Empty-handed I entered. Barefoot I will leave it.” Words, let flown each to each, Met midways and sliced The void in aimless flight Over the churned-up ground, he would never be nothing as much as this Endless times, time, time and again, He worked to nullify their hatred in his heart And so he leapt the one leap of them all - “He who enters knows only his arrival He who goes knows only his end. To be saved from the chasm Why cling to the cliff? Clouds floating low Never know where the breezes will blow them. In blank space only to warp and soar And come down with the roar of thunder to the sea.”

Lyrics: The eyes of others, our prison; Their thoughts, our cage If I dive deeper I shall reach the truth Of the beauty from which the world is so soon to perish All grown about with weeds, bound with briars As an experience, madness is triumphant Spiralling head-space plunged in and out of depth Strafing the waters, I am not in control of this “Dearest, I feel certain I am going mad again I feel we can’t go through another one of those terrible times And I shan’t recover this time The voices are back now, And I can’t concentrate So I am doing what seems the best thing to do You have given me the greatest joy You have been in every way all that anyone could be The voices are louder and louder and louder I can’t fight it any longer I know that I am spoiling your life That without me, you could work And you will, I know You see, I can’t even write this properly I can’t read What I want to say is I owe all the happiness of my life to you You have been entirely patient with me I wish for you to know this as well - If anybody could have saved me it would have been you I don’t think two people could have been happier until this disease came I can’t go on spoiling your life any longer I’m certain no other two people could have been happier than us I feel that I am going mad again I owe all the happiness of my life to you The voices are back now, and I can’t concentrate You have been in every way all that anyone could be The voices are louder, and I must see the waters” So much wasted ink Although processed I think Did I colour all this? Another poem unsigned I have all reason to shake Two heads on one body Doesn’t make for length of life

about

Death Poems.

It is a tetraptych of music in the form of portrait poetry. Four stories. Four suicides. All distinct, yet equally weighted. We released all the songs as singles, and on the album, you’ll find no more stories than what you’ve already heard, only the shadows and echoes of contemplation, suffering, relief and wonder. Short interludes that represent their afterthoughts. In these songs, we dramatize their lives and their deaths. An already sensitive subject matter like suicide needs delicate hands and careful tact. For victims like these, the real people like Patience, Hollow, Barefoot and Unknown, we are left with a last whisper - the very whispers we try to shout. May their stories carry on for a little while longer in the relatively permanent state of art, and echo louder through your hearts.

All the cover art is made by Lasse & Liv. They had to portray these people visually, I think they did amazing works with these illustrations. How do you capture the last moments of strangers? The album art is a lonely island, their island of suffering that is so hard to reach, and even harder to connect to the mainland.

Talk to someone.

Thanks for listening.
